Loan Fee Decreases

Beginning October 1st, 2017, the loan origination fee for federal student loans will decrease as a result of the federal budget sequestration. This change impacts new loans that are first disbursed on or after October 1st, 2017. The origination fee for Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans will decrease from 1.069% to 1.066%. The origination fee for Parent PLUS and Grad PLUS will decrease from 4.276% to 4.264%.

Net Price Calculator

The Office of Financial Aid provides a net price calculator for prospective freshmen to help them estimate the actual "price" of MSU after subtracting any grants and scholarships for which they may be eligible.
