Stafford student loans, both subsidized and unsubsidized, are the loans that most students rely on to fund their education if they choose to borrow. A small number of students will borrow federal Perkins Loans and/or private loans in addition to Stafford loans. Only Stafford loan amounts for seniors are included in these charts, and "out-of-state" numbers include international students.
