MAD = Minimum Amount Due

This is the minimum amount you must pay by the date stated on your bill in order to become REGISTERED.

If you do not PAY YOUR MAD AND CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE (even if your MAD is $0), you will be disenrolled from your classes, required to re‑enroll, and charged a late enrollment fee.

 

Financial Aid Calendar

2008

Beginning January 1

Complete the 2008-2009 version of the FAFSA for the academic year beginning fall semester 2008 and ending summer semester 2009.

January 1 to March 1

Notify the Office of Financial Aid (in StuInfo/eFinaid) if you will attend the summer semester 2008 and want to be considered for financial aid. You must also have filed the 2007-2008 FAFSA.

March 3

First deferred spring semester 2008 payment due.

April 1

Second (last) deferred spring semester 2008 payment due.

Mid-April

If you correctly filed the 2008-2009 FAFSA, expect to receive your 2008-2009 financial aid award notice from MSU. If you are asked for any additional documentation, respond promptly.

Expect to receive your summer semester 2008 registration bill if you've already enrolled.

April 30

Summer semester 2008 MAD due.
Full fee payment schedule and deferred payment plan dates are listed on the Controller's Office Web site.

Mid-May through Mid-August

Summer semester 2008 classes held.

Mid July

Expect to receive your fall semester 2008 registration bill, which will show any finalized financial aid reducing your MAD.

New students: You won't receive your registration bill until you have completed academic orientation.

August 7

Fall semester 2008 MAD due.


Full fee payment schedule and deferred payment plan dates are listed on the Controller's Office website.

August 25

Fall semester 2008 classes begin. A late enrollment fee of $100 is assessed for students enrolling on or after this date.

September 18

End of fall refund period. No refunds for dropped classes after this date.

October 1

First deferred fall semester 2008 payment due.

November 3

Second (last) deferred fall semester 2008 payment due.

November 15

Spring semester 2009 registration bills will be available in StuInfo.

December 12

Spring semester 2009 MAD due.

December 12

Last day of fall semester 2008 classes & exams.


2009

Beginning January 1

Complete the 2009-2010 version of the FAFSA for the academic year beginning fall semester 2009 and ending summer semester 2010.

January 1 to March 1

March 2

First deferred spring semester 2009 payment due.

April 1
