On February 19th, the Office of Financial Aid chatted with U.S. News and World Reports about scholarships. There were 14 questions ranging from "When should students start looking for college scholarships" to "What's one thing that all student's should include in their scholarship essays?". You can read a summary of the chat here for more tips on applying for scholarships.

Currently we are working hard to complete Summer 2015 financial aid packages while we are gear up for 2015-2016. Students can check the status of their summer aid by visiting StuInfo and clicking on "Financial Aid (Check Your Aid)".

We have already received 25,000+ FAFSA applications from prospective and returning students! March is a busy month for us as we review FAFSA applications and create financial aid award letters, which typically occurs towards the end of the month. Incoming undergraduate students will receive one paper letter mailed to their permanent mailing address. Returning students will receive an e-mail to their MSU e-mail account indicating 2015-2016 financial aid is ready to view in StuInfo.

If we request additional documentation to process your financial aid it is best to turn those in as soon as possible. We review documents on a first-come, first-serve basis.
