tuition

Last week the MSU Board of Trustees approved the 2014-2015 tuition and fee rates. There was an increase of 2.6% for lower division resident undergraduates, a 2.9% increase for upper division resident undergraduates, a 3.6% increase for lower and upper division non-resident undergraduates and a 4.0% increase for graduate students.

You can calculate estimated tuition and fees by using MSU Student Accounts Tuition and Fee calculator at: http://www.ctlr.msu.edu/COStudentAccounts/TuitionCalculatorFall.aspx

For families who may want an estimate of their out-of-pocket expenses for next year we recommend using the tuition calculator to estimate the total cost and then subtracting the amount of financial aid the student was offered. Fall bills will be created by MSU Student Accounts beginning July 19th and will be available to view in StuInfo.

plus

PLUS Loan applications have been submitted for 2014-2015 and credit check results will be coming in throughout this week. You can monitor the status of your Parent PLUS Loan in StuInfo under Financial Aid (Check Your Aid) by clicking on the Parent PLUS Loan tab. You will also be contacted by the loan servicer (Direct Loans) as to whether your loan was approved or denied.

reno

Our reception and advising area will be closed until August 1st and relocated to the Brody Neighborhood Engagement Center due to renovations.  The front reception area will be closed during construction and many advisors will be relocated during this time.

Our phones, e-mail, and social media will continue to be available during our regular business hours of 8:00am to 4:55pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am to 4:55pm on Fridays.

We are looking forward to a new advising area that will provide more privacy for students and families coming in to discuss their educational financing options. Thank you for your patience as we improve this space.
