This is a great time of year to search for scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic year. It may take you some time and effort, but we like to think of it this way: If you spend 10 hours applying and receive one $1000 scholarship, you earned $100 an hour.

Often we are asked "Where do I go to find scholarships?". The difficulty when searching for scholarships is that they are not all listed in one location. There are internet resources such as and Scholarship America, but don't stop there. We also recommend checking with employers, community foundations, local organizations, local credit unions, and retail establishments. If you have an area of study, a hobby and/or talent then use those terms when searching.

Please keep in mind that although there are many legitimate scholarships available, there are scholarship scams out there. We do not recommend applying for scholarships that request financial information or require any type of payment.

When will I know what financial aid I am offered for Summer 2014?

We have begun the process of awarding summer financial aid. This is an ongoing process throughout much of the spring semester so don't worry if you haven't received an e-mail from our office just yet indicating there has been an update to your financial aid. You can monitor the status of your application in

Please note that we do not automatically award financial aid for summer semester and that students need to log into, go to the Financial tab at the top, select "Financial Aid (Check Your Aid)", and click on "Summer Aid Application/Status" to apply.
