  • Everyone can help save lives by raising awareness about the risks of distracted driving. Burger Law has established a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to students who are passionate about this issue. We all know we should not drive distracted but many of us do. How do we effectively teach that drive time is not screen time to change behavior?
  • Applicants should be currently enrolled in a graduate school, college or university, or they can be a GED holder who is about to be attending college within the United States. They should also have a GPA of a 3.0 or higher.
  • The recipient of this scholarship will have shown their interest in bringing awareness to the recklessness of checking one’s phone while driving, for any purpose.
  • Application If you would like to apply for this scholarship, please submit: A transcript, A current resume, A 500-1,000 word explanation of a public awareness campaign you would create to teach drivers how using social media while driving is just as dangerous as texting and driving.

The winner of the scholarship will receive a $1,000 scholarship to further their post-secondary educational goals.
  • To be eligible for the Young Women’s Empowerment Scholarship, all applicants must be in excellent academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must also be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States.
  • The applicant must write a 1,000-word essay explaining how they have empowered young women in their family or community. That can include helping someone overcome discrimination, teaching someone a new skill or encouraging someone to reach their goals.
